HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!

Ordered pears and cheese gift box - arrived in very poor shape - pears were rotten, cheese flattened and soft from the heat. Requested replacement product and they sent it overnight. It was worse than the original order - pears all completely rotten and cheese melted in the plastic wrapper. Lately, everything I order from this company arrives damaged and/or spoiled. I'm done shopping with H & D!

Ordered Christmas present 6 weeks before and it was delivered 2 WEEKS Late

Title says it all. I will never buy another thing from them. I have since tried to unsubscribe from their mailing list SIX TIMES and they never take me off their list. Every email just@#$$%@ me off worse, so now I will leave a bad review each time they continue to spam me.

Rotten fruit

The last two shipments of fruit have been rotten. Although Harry and David does replace the fruit requires a call and then to deal with the rotten fruit. The peaches were no longer available so they sent clumps they were wrong now they're going to send more. I don't think it's worth the money!

Ordering Online

Their online ordering is a disaster. My Gift List from last year is a joke. They sent me a hard copy in the mail which is nowhere close to what they have for me online. I am adding recipients to this year's list and the list literally changes before my eyes - items I have put in my cart disappear; when I try to add recipients, items I have already put in my cart for other individuals also disappear. I have a list of 29 recipients, all with the same order and there are only 24 items in my cart. Go figure! Not doing this again next year.

Wasnt even shipped!!!!

I ordered a 'Deluxe Organic Fruit Basket' for a sick relative on 9/4/2022. It was meant to be delivered 9/9. On 9/9 I went to the website to track the order. It said 'confirmed' but did not give tracking info. At 6:30pm I called. 30 mins after waiting in a call queue later, I was told that it hadn’t even shipped. something to do with the personalized card... it wasn’t available or something. They offered to send it without the card, and it would arrive 9/14. I cancelled. This is terrible customer service. No one reached out to me. No call/text/email. Even their order website didn’t say anything. I had to call them. This is truly awful. I would never order a thing from this company. It has totally ruined what was meant to be a kind gesture.

I am so finished with Harry & David

I have been a loyal customer of Harry & David for years, the convenience (when they get it right) is great.
I'm even a passport member, however when they don't deliver on time (or at all), it's terrible. More than once I've ordered items to be delivered on (or about) a specific date and when they don't arrive I've been told that the shipment was delayed. That's all "it's delayed for a week". One time I was told that my order would be delayed for 2 weeks, now that is not a problem of the delivery service or the order got lost-they know that they are delaying my order. They in no way tried to contact me to give me the option of a substitution or just to let me know. I had to experience the issue of my order not being delivered, then call them just to be told "oh, your order is delayed "
When I contacted someone 'higher up' I was offered a 20% discount-20%! That's what they give everyone in every email ever sent.
There are several other companies associated with Passports and they are much more reliable.

They put bioengineered food ingredients and food can be gross sometimes

They put bioengineered food ingredients in their food.
About 70% of their food has bioengineered food ingredients. Also their can be gross from harry and david.

Bioengineered food ingredients effects are okay in some amounts.
Bioengineered food ingredients are basically genetically modified ingredients

TERRIBLE!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have a friend from whom we receive fruit from Harry and David 2-3 times a year. Last year we received one bad box, then this year when we received a bad box I contacted Harry and David and they sent a replacement of half a box, which still wasn't good. Today just received a box of pears and applies and the pears are ROTTEN! I'm telling him not to waste his money sending these anymore.

Don't bother to use this company

Don't bother to use this company. Customer service is a call center in India where they don't have a clue about the products, shipping, delivery, etc. Ordered a box of peaches and they never arrived. Sent an email and they said oh sorry the crop is delayed. My sister, the recipient, called the call center to find out when they would be shipped as it was now 6 weeks later and she was headed out on holiday. Told it was too late to cancel the order but no idea when it would be shipped. Finally got a shipment email and when they arrived the fruit was brown and mushy. A complete waste of money and time.

I sincerely hope there are. Total waste of money. 95% of all the cakes I ordered went into the trash.

In the past this company offered excellent quality products--albeit a bit overpriced. Now the price is the same (or higher) but the quality has definitely gone downhill. Not sure if the company was bought out or what, but... I will never order from them again. They have done permanent damage to their reputation and their customer base is eroding quickly.

How easy is it to get a hold of customer service at Harry & David?

A:

It isn't difficult to reach them via phone, just be prepared for hold times. I would definitely recommend calling them rather than email, the email correspondence I had with them was hopeless.
